Why did you join the RNR?

I joined the RNR whilst I was at Leeds Metropolitan University studying for a BA (Hons) Playwork. The RNR attracted me as it offered me a completely different environment that I was previously used too.  I also was looking for a new challenge in my life.

RNR Goals and ambitions:

I have been in the RNR a number of years now and I would like to progress to being a Leading Seaman in my branch.  However, my more current goal is to become fully trained so I am able to mobilise.

What have you done in the RNR?

In the RNR I have taken part in a wide variety of activities. One of the most memorable experiences has been completing my HMS Raleigh course in Torpoint, Cornwall.  I have also enjoyed the times I have been away with the Unit supporting the Army with Executive Stretch at Catterick, North Yorkshire; the Regional General Training Weekends at Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Strensall and HMS Calliope. In Unit training weekends at Ceres Division are also great fun!

What is the Best thing about the RNR?

The RNR is full of interesting people to meet from every walk of life. I have made some fantastic friends!
